a brief procrastinatory test...

ah, blog, how i've been neglecting you! luckily i know that i'm not disappointing a legion of fans waiting on the edges of their office-chairs at this point, but instead continuing my existential exercise...

a proper post soon, but for now an experiment to make this a little less boring and texty (which makes everyone testy...):

anthropological inspiration!

the other day i was compared (again! i like it that it wasn't the first time!) to travelling matt, gobo's intrepid uncle on the fraggle rock show. it's true, like travelling matt, i will be going to new places to explore the customs of HUMANS and report back to my fraggly committee (let's not go too far in exploring similarities between fraggles, muppets, or sesame street characters and the anthropology department, shall we?)

it's nearing the end of a very strange semester where i've definitely felt like i was on the crazy roller coaster track that whizzes through the beginning of the show, from what i can remember. i could use some inspiration from cuddly monsters!

(hmmm, blogger and itunes don't seem to play well with each other, or even in the same virtual sandbox while building their separate contentment castles...and one can see real procrastination possibilities in my growing frustration with the 'easy blog template' versus just editing the HTML myself...oh computer code work, stop your sweet siren song of pure logic and elegant outcomes!)...

ok, back to finishing my grading. Very soon: a REAL post detailing the REAL adventures of getting ready for the field!
